In a job-shop environment, our clients require us to deliver quality parts on time from all of our metal finishing operations. We are looking for an Outside Sales/Business Development Representative. As a Business Development Representative, you will help to increase sales revenues and maintain customer relationships within your assigned area or by the market as determined by the VP-GM. This position drives business development on new applications and customers while managing relationships with support and technical assistance for various customer accounts. You will work to cultivate new business opportunities, expand the customer base, and explore new markets.

*This is a base salary position plus uncapped commission that is paid out on a quarterly basis

Responsibilities:

  • Answer customer calls and inquiries
  • Enter all customer data into Salesforce
  • Develop a market strategy and execute a growth plan for Engineered Coatings with internal stakeholders
  • Identify new potential customers are working through the sales cycle from initial contact to RFQ & order placement
  • Qualify relevant opportunities to expand core service offerings outside the current customer base
  • Drive new opportunities and wins with new and current customers
  • Develop strategies to infiltrate new market opportunities
  • Identify target customers while developing effective sales strategies
  • Collect all necessary information for the Estimating Department to generate requests for quotations (RFQs)
  • Pursue appropriate activities to attain RFQ’s for new business and obtain purchase orders
  • Exceed budgeted yearly sales goals set for Teknicote/Medicote
  • Work with VP-GM on developing sales budgets for the following year or year-over-year sales projections (targeting 15-20% organic growth)
  • Work with customers and management to address concerns and provide solutions
  • All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant engineered coating experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must be willing and able to travel 50-75% of the time
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels within the company and within the customer’s organization
  • Excellent organizational skills including on-time reporting and updating appropriate documents
  • Experience with CRM such as Salesforce
  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue in a relevant environment
  • Ability to develop sales strategies and meet KPIs
  • The ability to work with a diverse culture to help ways to improve processes, quality, and safety

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
